Strolls as a Teaching Tool

Kids love technology. Kids also love being outside, although sometimes they forgo the great outdoors in favour of a plasma screen. Combine the two by creating stolls that not only get kids outside, but also teach them about something at the same time. Design a stroll about the history of your town so they can develop knowledge of where they are from and gain a deeper understanding of their roots. Include pictures from historical archives, clips of music from the era, or better yet, send them to a museum or historical society so they can get a first hand look at the past. Make it a race or a contest, and watch their excitement as they unlock each destination upon arrival. And, of course, treat them when they’ve completed their mission.

As a teaching tool, it doesn’t get more fun than that.
